Fairtrade Fortnight
As part of Fairtrade fortnight in March, the Fairtade Committee in school did some different assemblies in school to explain what Fairtrade does in Korogocho and who needs help. We also sold cookies made with just fairtrade ingredients. Various classes also made bunting to advertise Fairtrade Fortnight around the school.
We also went to St Patrick’s church hall on the occasion of their Lenten Lunch and gave a great performance for the parish about what Fairtrade does for the farmers who are struggling at the moment. We took the chance to show our file to members of the church to show them what Fairtrade have been doing over the last couple of years. We also showed them photos of items that we have sent over and pictures of how we help.
Thanks to everyone who support us. (Erin Bowyer and Lily-Rose Harrop – Year 6)
