Year 6 Trip to Nissan Factory

In March Year 6 pupils were invited by Nissan to go to their training facility in Sunderland for a fun and action packed day learning about the process of making a Nissan car.
The day started off by making a traditional Japanese Daruma head doll which was signed by all of the children.
Next came building a model Lego car – firstly of the children’s choice and then to a specification and in teams simulating a production line against a stopwatch!
We then had a tour around the workshop and saw the different stages of the car building process.
Finally we took had the opportunity part to try different manual dexterity activities – all against the clock !
A brilliant day was had by all – thank you to Nissan !
