Laudato Si’ – Care of our common home

Laudato Si’

For 2019, we have chosen Pope Francis’ message to us in Laudato Si’ as our focus for action.

Our New Year collective worship focused on precious gifts and how we would treat and care for something precious. We thought about how the world is God’s gift to us and how precious and wonderful it is. We watched the CAFOD animation which explains Laudato Si’: https://cafod.org.uk/Education/Primary-teaching-resources/Laudato-Si-animation

THE WORLD CAN’T WAIT!

We are going to do take simple, everyday actions to help to care for our common home and slow down – switching off lights and electrical equipment, turning taps off, reducing the amount of waste we throw away, only buying what we really need, planting trees and growing our own food, recycling as much as possible, walking and cycling instead of driving everywhere and buying Fairtrade goods.

We are also going to try our best to live in peace and harmony with each other so that our world is a wonderful place to live.

CAN YOU DO YOUR BIT AND HELP THE EARTH TOO?
